Squash casserole
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 item
- to 3/4 stick margarine - 1/2 item
- yellow summer squash - 2 lb
- carton sour cream small - 1 item
- sharp Cheddar cheese, cut in small cubes - 1 c
- good pinch of sugar - 1 item
How to make squash casserole:
Cook sliced squash in boiling, salted water with a pinch of sugar until really done and tender. Drain in colander. Put back in pot and add a lot of butter. Mash fine with potato masher. Stir in sour cream and cheese. Turn into a casserole and bake at 350° for 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Squash, Side dish, Casseroles.
