Squash casserole
Ingredients/Components
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- stick butter or oleo - 1/2 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- milk or more - 1/2 c
- small chopped onion - 1 item
- saltine crackers - 16 item
- grated sharp cheese - 2 c
- yellow squash - 2 lb
How to make squash casserole:
Cook squash and onion until tender. Drain and mash. Add butter and cheese. Add eggs, milk and crackers. Mix well. Season to taste. Put in 2-quart casserole. Top with buttered cracker crumbs. Bake at 350° about 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Squash, Side dish, Casseroles.
