Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 4 oz
- butter - 1/4 c
- bread crumbs - 2 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- large onion - 1 item
- cooked squash - 4 c
- mild Cheddar cheese - 1 c
How to make squash casserole:
Cook squash, onion and butter in a large skillet. Drain off excess butter and place into a large casserole dish. Add salt, pepper, sour cream, soup and shredded cheese; mix well. Add 1 cup of bread crumbs to mixture to thicken. Top casserole with other cup of bread crumbs. Bake at 350° for about 35 to 45 minutes.Recipe categories: Squash, Side dish, Casseroles.
