Spinach dip
Ingredients/Components
- sour cream
- garlic salt - 1 item
- mayonnaise - 1 c
- can water chestnuts - 1 oz
- frozen chopped spinach - 1 pkg
- Knorr vegetable soup mix - 1 pkg
- medium to large red onion - 1/2 item
- round loaves pumpernickel bread day old - 2 item
How to make spinach dip:
Thaw spinach and drain well. Put spinach between two paper towels and squeeze to remove as much moisture as possible.Chop onion finely. Drain and chop water chestnuts. Mix all ingredients. Add garlic salt to taste. Refrigerate overnight. If too thick, add few drops of milk.
Pumpernickel Loaf: Make sure bread is at least one day old. Scoop out one loaf to make bowl and fill with dip. Saved scooped pieces for dippers. Cut second loaf for extra dippers.
