Spiced pear jam with pineapple
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 4 5
- crushed pineapple - 1 c
- or 4 whole cloves - 3 item
- firm cooking pears - 3 lb
- orange, seeded - 1 item
- lemon, seeded - 1 item
- about 6-inch stick cinnamon
- 1-inch piece ginger - 1 item
How to make spiced pear jam with pineapple:
Peel and core pears. Wash orange and lemon. Put the fruit through a grinder, using a coarse blade (or a food processor will work well). Save the juices. Combine pulp, juices, pineapple sugar and spices. Heat the mixture, stirring constantly. Boil for about 30 minutes.
