Spiced pear butter
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- lemon juice - 1/4 c
- cloves - 2 Tbsp
- allspice - 1/4 tsp
- orange juice - 1/2 c
- vinegar white - 1/2 c
- sticks cinnamon - 6 item
- wine red - 1 c
- pears, cut up Bosc or Bartlett - 7 qt
How to make spiced pear butter:
Cook pears with wine, vinegar, cinnamon and cloves over medium heat until pears are soft, about 10 minutes. Put through a food mill and return puree to a heavy pot (see Note). Add sugar, lemon juice and allspice and stir. Cook over low heat for 1 hourRecipe categories: Fruit, Condiments, etc., Pears.
