Spaghetti sauce
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 item
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- parsley flakes - 2 Tbsp
- chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- oregano - 1/2 tsp
- basil - 1/2 tsp
- can tomato paste - 1 item
- olive oil - 2 Tbsp
- can peeled tomatoes - 1 item
How to make spaghetti sauce:
Heat oil in heavy skillet. Add onion, pepper, and celery. Cook over medium heat until tender. Add tomatoes, paste, salt, sugar, parsley flakes, oregano, basil and pepper. Mix well. Cover and simmer, stirring constantly for 1 hour.Recipe categories: Sauces, Condiments, etc., Italian.
