- fryer, cut up - 1 item
- flour - 1 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- paprika - 1 tsp
- chopped green pepper - 1 c
- chopped onion - 1 c
- can tomatoes - 1 item
- oregano - 1 tsp
- basil - 1 tsp
- garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
- parsley flakes - 1 Tbsp
- bay leaf - 1 item
- sugar
- dry red wine - 1/2 c
How to make chicken cacciatore:
Preheat oven to 350°. Into Brown-in-Bag, add 1 tablespoon flour, salt, pepper, paprika, green pepper, onion and tomatoes (no juice) and chicken. Put bag in pan. Blend 1/4 cup flour with tomato liquid. Add remaining seasonings and wine. Pour into bag. Close bag with tie. Make slits in top. Cook 1 hour and 20 minutes.
