Ingredients/Components

  • salt
  • shortening - 2 Tbsp
  • paprika - 1 tsp
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 2 tsp
  • garlic salt - 1/2 tsp
  • parsley flakes - 1/4 tsp
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • oregano - 1 tsp
  • basil - 1/2 tsp
  • can tomato paste - 1 oz
  • onion, finely chopped - 1 c
  • each cans tomato sauce - 3 oz
  • can mushrooms - 1 oz

How to make spaghetti sauce:

Cook beef, onion and shortening in hot skillet. Stir with fork until meat has lost its redness. Pour off fat. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, mushrooms, seasonings and Worcestershire sauce. Cover skillet. Lower heat and simmer 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Pour over spaghetti.
