She-crab soup
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 gal
- salt - 2 Tbsp
- flour - 2/4 c
- butter - 1/2 lb
- pepper
- Worcestershire sauce
- dry sherry - 3/4 c
- chicken stock - 1/2 c
- chopped mushrooms - 1/2 c
- backfin crabmeat - 1 lb
- boiled shrimp, diced - 1/4 lb
- stock from boiled shrimp - 1/2 c
How to make she-crab soup:
Melt butter in a large pot. Prepare roux with butter and flour. Add milk. Stir until very thick. Add salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce.
