Scalloped potatoes with cheese
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2/3 c
- salt
- whipping cream - 3 c
- shredded Cheddar cheese - 2 c
- cloves garlic, pressed - 4 item
- fresh ground black pepper - 1 item
- grated nutmeg - 1 item
How to make scalloped potatoes with cheese:
Peel and slice potatoes thinly. Use a food processor, if available. Lightly grease an ovenproof baking pan (13 x 9-inch). Layer potato slices in pan, sprinkling each layer with salt, pepper, nutmeg and cheese. Press garlic over mixture. Add cream and milk. (You may prepare ahead of time up to this step). Bake at 400° for about 40 minutes or until potatoes are soft and creamy and golden brown on surface.Recipe categories: Side dish, Potato, Vegetables.
