Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 2 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 1/4 c
  • margarine - 1/4 c
  • medium onions - 6 item
  • American cheese, grated - 2 c

How to make scalloped onions:

Slice onions and separate into rings. Place in 1 1/2-quart casserole. Melt margarine and blend in flour. Stir milk in slowly. Cook until thick. Stir in salt and grated cheese. Pour over onions. Bake at 375° uncovered for 1 hour.
