- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- pouch dry onion soup mix - 1 item
- water
- medium potatoes, quartered - 6 item
- all-purpose flour - 2 Tbsp
- carrots, cut into 2 inch pieces - 6 item
How to make savory pot roast:
In a 6-quart saucepan, heat oil and brown roast on all sides; spoon off fat. In a bowl, combine mushroom soup, onion soup mix and 1 cup water; pour over roast. Reduce heat and cover; cook 2 hours. Add vegetables, cover and cook 45 minutes longer until vegetables are tender. Remove roast and vegetables. In a bowl, stir flour and remaining water until smooth; gradually stir into soup. Mix and cook until mixture boils and thickens, stirring constantly. Makes 8 servings.Recipe categories: Main dish, Beef, Roast beef.
