Sausage swirls
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- milk - 2/3 1
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- oil - 2/3 c
- baking powder - 2 Tbsp
- plain cornmeal - 1/2 c
- each hot and mild sausage - 1 lb
How to make sausage swirls:
Sift dry ingredients together. Blend in oil. Add milk to make a stiff dough. Roll dough out thinly on a floured board into 2 (10 x 18-inch) rectangles. Mix sausages and spread on dough. Roll up lengthwise. Chill well and slice. Bake 15 to 20 minutes. Makes about 6 dozen. May freeze rolls and bake later.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Breakfast, Appetizers.
