Sausage gravy
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 qt
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 6 Tbsp
- dash of Worcestershire sauce - 1 item
- finely chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
- poultry seasoning - 1/2 tsp
- dash of hot pepper - 1 item
- sage flavored bulk pork sausage - 1 lb
How to make sausage gravy:
Crumble sausage into a large saucepan; cook over medium-low heat. Add onion; cook and stir until transparent. Drain, discarding all but 2 tablespoons of drippings. Stir in milk. Add seasonings; cook, stirring, until thickened. To serve, slice biscuits and spoon gravy over halves. Makes 4 to 6 servings.Recipe categories: Eggs/dairy, Breakfast, Pork.
