Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 1 qt
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
  • all-purpose flour - 6 Tbsp
  • chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
  • dash of hot pepper sauce - 1 item
  • dash of Worcestershire sauce - 1 item
  • poultry seasoning - 1/2 tsp
  • pork sausage - 1 lb
  • refrigerated biscuits - 1 item

How to make sausage gravy:

Crumble sausage in large saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat. Add onion; cook and stir until transparent. Drain, discarding all but 2 tablespoons of drippings. Stir in flour; cook over medium-low heat for about 6 minutes. Stir in milk. Add seasonings. Cook, stirring, until thickened. To serve, slice biscuits and spoon gravy over halves.
