Sausage gravy
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 4 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 6 Tbsp
- ground nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- onion, finely chopped - 2 Tbsp
- poultry seasoning - 1/2 tsp
- dash hot pepper sauce - 1 item
- sausage - 1 lb
- dash Worcestershire sauce - 1 item
How to make sausage gravy:
Crumble sausage into a large sauce pan. Cook over medium-low heat. Add onion. Cook and stir until transparent. Drain. Discard all but two tablespoons of drippings. Stir in flour. Cook over medium-low heat about 6 minutes or until mixture bubbles and turns golden. Stir in milk. Add seasonings. Cook stirring until thickened.
