Ingredients/Components

  • chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
  • can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
  • large onion, chopped - 1 item
  • can sliced mushrooms - 1 oz
  • uncooked rice
  • shredded cheese - 1 item
  • Jimmy Dean sausage with sage - 1 lb

How to make sausage and rice casserole:

Brown sausage in large skillet and drain. Add onion, mushrooms and green pepper, cooking over medium heat until onions are translucent. Cook rice according to package directions. Place cooked rice, sausage mixture and cream of mushroom soup in large bowl and mix thoroughly. Place in lightly greased baking dish and top with shredded cheese. Bake in 350° oven for approximately 25 minutes or until completely heated and cheese is melted.
