Sausage and apple stuffing
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- salt
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- celery, chopped - 1 c
- poultry seasoning - 1 tsp
- fresh bread crumbs - 4 c
- pork sausage - 1 lb
- large apples, peeled, cored and chopped - 3 item
How to make sausage and apple stuffing:
In 4-quart saucepan, heat sausage until brown. Drain and save 1/4 cup of sausage drippings. Return to pan. In drippings over medium heat, cook apples, onion and celery until done, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Add sausage meat and remaining ingredients. Stir until well mixed. Bake, if desired, for 30 to 40 minutes at 350°.Recipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Apple.
