Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- salt - 1/4 c
- cornstarch - 1/2 c
- vinegar - 1 c
- cloves garlic, crushed - 2 item
- cumin - 1/4 tsp
- medium onions, chopped - 4 item
- turmeric - 1/4 tsp
- green peppers, chopped - 3 item
- large tomatoes, peeled and chopped - 3 item
- large can tomato juice - 1 item
- hot chili powder - 1 Tbsp
- medium green tomatoes, chopped - 6 item
- to 10 jalapeno peppers, chopped - 6 item
How to make salsa:
Combine ingredients in 8-quart pan. Bring to a boil. Stir constantly. Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes. Stir occasionally. Process in hot water bath 30 minutes. Makes 9 to 10 pints.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Sauces, Salsas.
