Roasted garlic dip
Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 1/4 c
- heavy cream - 1/3 c
- Worcestershire sauce - 2 tsp
- chopped fresh parsley - 2 Tbsp
- Dijon mustard - 1/2 tsp
- minced onion - 2 Tbsp
- peanut oil - 3 Tbsp
- black pepper - 1/4 tsp
- cream cheese, softened - 8 oz
- ground cardamom - 1/2 tsp
- crumbled dried rosemary - 1 tsp
- large cloves garlic, peeled - 12 item
- coarsely chopped blanched almonds - 3 Tbsp
How to make roasted garlic dip:
Preheat oven to 300°. Place garlic in a small roasting pan coated with the peanut oil. Roast for 40 minutes, then let cool for 20 minutes.Put garlic and oil in a blender; pulse several times, then add cream cheese, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce and mustard. Process until smooth, then transfer to a small bowl. Stir in parsley, rosemary, onion, almonds, pepper and cardamom.
Beat the cream until firm, but not stiff. Fold into the mixture and refrigerate 1 hour before serving. Serve with chips or vegetable sticks.
