Fried apple rings



  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • butter or margarine - 1/4 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • ginger - 1/8 tsp
  • brown sugar, firmly packed - 1/4 c
  • cloves - 1/8 tsp
  • medium sized apples - 3 item

How to make fried apple rings:

Wash, core and cut apples in 1/2 inch crosswise slices. Melt butter in a skillet. Stir in brown sugar, spices and salt. Saute apple rings in butter mixture over low heat, turning occasionally until tender. Serve with scrambled eggs and sausage or bacon. Makes about 12 apple rings.
