Rhubarb bread
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour
- brown sugar
- soda - 1 tsp
- vegetable oil - 2/3 c
- egg - 1 item
- sour milk* - 1 c
- chopped rhubarb - 2 c
How to make rhubarb bread:
Sift dry ingredients together. Beat wet ingredients. Blend dry ingredients into wet ingredients. Add rhubarb and nuts. Pour into 2 greased and floured pans and top with brown sugar and butter. Bake in preheated oven at 325° for 45-60 minutes.Applesauce can be substituted for oil. (Less fat.)
*Sour milk is 1 Tbsp. lemon juice or vinegar and milk.
