Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- white sugar - 2 c
- milk - 1 c
- stick butter - 3/4 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- pecan halves - 1-1/2 c
How to make pralines:
Put 1/4 cup sugar in iron skillet, cook until dark, don't let it burn. Meanwhile in a heavy pot, mix 2 cups sugar and milk. When it comes to a boil, add the cooked sugar from the skillet, stirring constantly. Cook to soft boil stage. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Beat until mixture thickens and loses shine. Quickly drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Arrange pecans on top.Recipe categories: Desserts, Fruit, Candy.
