- sticks butter - 2 item
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs, beaten well - 5 item
- milk - 1 c
- vanilla or lemon flavoring - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- plain flour - 3 c
How to make pound cake:
Cream butter and Crisco. Slowly add sugar. Add beaten eggs. Sift flour and baking powder together and add to creamed mixture, alternating with milk and flavorings. Beat for 5 minutes and pour into prepared 9-inch tube pan. Bake for 1 1/2 hours in 325° oven.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Lunch/snacks.
