  • plain flour - 1 c
  • self-rising flour - 1 c
  • sugar - 2 c
  • shortening - 1 c
  • eggs - 5 item
  • milk - 1 c
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • coconut, frozen 12 to 14 oz - 1 lb
  • large marshmallows - 12 item
  • stick oleo - 1 item
  • can condensed milk, sweetened - 1 item
  • cocoa - 3 Tbsp

How to make peter paul mounds cake:

Filling:1 c. sugar1 c. milk1 lb. coconut, frozen (12 to 14 oz.)12 large marshmallows1 tsp. vanilla Frosting:2 c. sugar1 stick oleo1 can condensed milk, sweetened3 Tbsp. cocoa Cook filling while layers are cooking. To cook filling, boil milk and sugar for 5 minutes. Add the coconut, marshmallows and vanilla. When layers are done, stack as you remove from oven, putting filling between layers.

Cook frosting ingredients over medium heat to soft ball stage, stirring constantly. Frost cake.
