  • large eggs - 5 item
  • sugar - 3 c
  • unsifted cake flour - 3 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • stick margarine - 1 item
  • Crisco - 1/2 c
  • sweet milk - 1 c

How to make pound cake:

Cream butter, sugar, Crisco and vanilla. Add eggs, milk and flour (alternately). Cook 1 1/2 to 2 hours at 275°. Start in cold oven. Check for doneness and cook longer, if needed.
