Ingredients/Components
- milk
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 6 Tbsp
- water - 2 qt
- oleo - 6 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- medium potatoes, peeled and diced - 6 item
- medium carrots, diced - 2 item
- medium celery stalks, diced - 6 item
How to make potato soup:
In large kettle, cook potatoes, carrots and celery in water until tender; drain, reserving liquid. In same kettle, saute onion in oleo until soft. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Gradually add milk, stirring until thickened. Stir in cooked vegetables. Add 1 cup or more of reserved liquid until soup is desired consistency.
