Potato soup
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- water - 2 qt
- egg - 1 item
- can evaporated milk - 1 item
- medium diced onion - 1 item
- stalks celery, diced - 4 item
- to 5 potatoes, cubed - 4 item
How to make potato soup:
Heat water in soup kettle. Add potatoes, onion and celery. Cook 1/2 to 1 hour, then mash a few times. Beat egg, salt and water together in small bowl. Slowly add flour. Mixture will be gooey. Drop by teaspoon into boiling soup mixture. The dough will drop to bottom of kettle, then rise to the top.Turn temperature down so soup is no longer boiling, then add milk and margarine. The soup is better after standing several hours. Cooking time is 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
