Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- milk - 3/4 c
- salt
- flour
- egg yolks - 2 item
- melted butter - 2 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- dash of salt - 1 item
- dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- sweet relish - 1/4 c
- potatoes - 10 item
- celery seed - 1/8 tsp
- celery, diced - 1/4 c
- green pepper, diced - 1/4 c
- onions, diced - 1/4 c
- hard-boiled eggs - 4 item
- cucumbers, diced - 1/4 c
How to make potato salad:
Dressing:1 tsp. salt1/2 tsp. dry mustard2 Tbsp. sugar1/8 tsp. celery seed2 1/2 Tbsp. flour2 Tbsp. melted butter2 egg yolks3/4 c. milk1/2 c. vinegar Cook the potatoes in water for 20 minutes in their jackets. Peel and dice in a large bowl the onions, celery, green peppers, cucumbers, eggs and add the remaining ingredients. When the potatoes are tender, peel and dice them and add to the large bowl.Dressing: Mix the salt, mustard, sugar, celery seed and flour in a saucepan. Slowly add the slightly beaten egg yolks, butter, milk and vinegar. Cook until thickens. Cool before pouring the potato salad.
