  • sour cream - 1 pt
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • melted margarine - 1/2 c
  • margarine - 1/4 c
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • crushed cornflakes - 2 c
  • grated cheese - 2 c
  • frozen hash browns - 2 lb
  • can chicken soup - 1 item
  • or 1 small onion, chopped - 2 Tbsp

How to make potato casserole:

Thaw potatoes before mixing, they mix better. Mix with all but 1/4 cup margarine and cornflakes. Put in 9 x 13-inch buttered casserole. Top with 1/4 cup margarine and crushed cornflakes. Bake 45 minutes at 350°.
