Sweet potato souffle
Ingredients/Components
- mashed sweet potatoes - 3 c
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- melted margarine - 3 Tbsp
- eggs, well beaten - 2 item
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- orange juice - 1/2 c
- milk - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- grated orange peel - 1/4 tsp
- cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
- Add all other ingredients; mix until well blended
- brown sugar - 1 c
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- flour - 1/3 c
How to make sweet potato souffle:
In a large mixing bowl, mash sweet potatoes; add eggs and beat until mixture is smooth. Add all other ingredients; mix until well blended. Pour into a large casserole dish which has been sprayed with Pam. Make topping.Topping:1/2 tsp. cinnamon1 c. brown sugar1 c. chopped pecans1/3 c. flour Mix all topping ingredients until well blended. Spread over sweet potato mixture in casserole. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes. Serve hot.Recipe categories: Side dish, Potato, Vegetables.
