  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour - 1 c
  • water - 1 c
  • oil - 2 Tbsp
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • chopped green pepper - 1/3 c
  • basil - 1 tsp
  • Mozzarella cheese - 16 oz
  • dried oregano - 1 tsp
  • sliced carrots - 2/3 c
  • sliced celery - 1/3 c
  • marjoram - 1/4 tsp
  • clove garlic, crushed - 1 item
  • small can tomato paste - 1 item
  • fresh chopped broccoli - 1 c
  • chopped cauliflower - 1 c
  • small chopped onion optional - 1 item
  • fresh mushrooms, sliced or 1 8 oz - 1 lb
  • to 2 zucchini, sliced - 1 item
  • Add the following to the sauteed vegetables and simmer 20 minutes: tomato sauce, tomato paste, water, dried oregano, basil, marjoram, garlic and salt

How to make popover pizza:

Saute vegetables for 7 minutes in hot oil. Add the following to the sauteed vegetables and simmer 20 minutes: tomato sauce, tomato paste, water, dried oregano, basil, marjoram, garlic and salt. Pour into 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle with Mozzarella cheese. Place in 400° oven just to melt cheese while preparing batter.Batter:2 large eggs1 tsp. oil1 c. milk1 tsp. salt1 c. flour Mix and pour over cheese and sprinkle with 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese. Bake at 400° for 20 to 30 minutes until puffed and golden brown. Makes 6 servings.
