Tortilla pie
Ingredients/Components
- chili powder
- cans tomato sauce - 2 oz
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- Mozzarella cheese, sliced - 1 lb
- ground beef, browned
- flour tortillas - 1 pkg
- hot taco sauce - 1 Tbsp
- can black olives - 1 oz
- can Niblets whole kernel corn, drained - 1 to
- dash of salt, pepper, seasoned salt and garlic powder - 1 item
How to make tortilla pie:
Brown meat; add onions, seasonings, tomato sauce and taco sauce. Cook until thick like spaghetti sauce. Add corn. This makes up the sauce layer.In a lightly greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan, place a layer of tortillas, a layer of meat sauce, layer of olives and a layer of cheese. Repeat layers, ending with cheese on top. Bake at 325° for 25 to 30 minutes.
Note: Black olives, cut in half, may be added to the layers or just to the top layer as garnish.
