Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- brown sugar - 3/4 c
- butter - 3/4 c
- water - 1/2 c
- light corn syrup - 1/2 c
- white sugar - 3/4 c
- white vinegar - 1 tsp
- popped corn 1/2 c - 8 c
How to make popcorn balls:
Put popped corn in a large bowl. Combine all remaining ingredients, except butter, in a saucepan. Heat to boiling over medium-high heat, stirring often. Cook, stirring constantly, to 250° on candy thermometer. Remove from heat; stir in butter until melted and slowly pour over popcorn, stirring to coat. Cool slightly. Butter hands; shape into 3-inch balls and place on waxed paper. Makes 8 balls.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Snacks, Grains.
