Ingredients/Components
- sliced tender yellow squash - 8 c
- sugar - 3 c
- mustard seed - 2 tsp
- onions, sliced - 2 c
- salt
- vinegar - 2 c
- celery seed - 2 tsp
How to make pickled squash:
Soak squash and onion in ice and salt for 1 hour. In pot, put vinegar, sugar, mustard and celery seed; bring to boil. In clean pint jars put the squash and onion after it has been rinsed and drained.
