Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- medium onions - 2 item
- large bell pepper - 1 item
- bottle chili sauce - 1 oz
- bag dried red kidney beans - 1 lb
How to make chili beans:
Soak kidney beans for 1/2 hour in hot water; put in large pot. Cook 1 hour in 2 quarts water. Brown ground beef and drain. Chop onions and bell pepper; add to kidney beans along with meat, chili sauce and salt to taste. Cook for another hour or until beans are done.For spicier beans, add 1 pod hot pepper.
