Picante sauce
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 5 Tbsp
- salt - 4 Tbsp
- large tomatoes - 30 item
- large onions - 5 item
- to 5 jalapenos depending on how you want it - 2 item
How to make picante sauce:
Blanch tomatoes for 1 minute in boiling water. Dip in cold water; peel, core and cut up. Quarter onions. Slice up peppers. Put in blender and blend until smooth.Put all ingredients into a large kettle. Cook for 30 minutes at a fast simmer. Put in pint jars. Process for 10 minutes in a boiling water bath.
