  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • pecan halves - 1 c
  • Karo syrup - 1 c
  • pecan pieces - 1 c
  • cube melted butter not margarine - 1 item

How to make pecan pie:

Mix syrup and sugar; add melted butter. Mix in eggs and vanilla; let stand for 1 hour. Place pecan pieces in 9-inch pie shell. Pour in filling and cover with pecan pieces turned right side up. Pie is prettier when pecan pieces are placed in a starburst pattern. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes at 325°.
