Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 1 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- brown sugar
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- nuts - 1/2 c
- raisins - 1 c
- applesauce
- diced apples - 2 c
How to make double apple cake:
Cream butter and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Combine flour, cinnamon, soda and salt. Stir into butter mixture. Stir in apples, applesauce, raisins and nuts. Dough should be stiff. Spoon into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan and spread evenly. Bake at 350° for 35 to 45 minutes or until cake shrinks from sides of pan and springs back when lightly touched.
