Double apple cake



  • butter, softened - 1 c
  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • brown sugar
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • nuts - 1/2 c
  • raisins - 1 c
  • applesauce
  • diced apples - 2 c

How to make double apple cake:

Cream butter and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Combine flour, cinnamon, soda and salt. Stir into butter mixture. Stir in apples, applesauce, raisins and nuts. Dough should be stiff. Spoon into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan and spread evenly. Bake at 350° for 35 to 45 minutes or until cake shrinks from sides of pan and springs back when lightly touched. Cool for 10 minutes. Serve warm.
