Oyster stew
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- light cream - 1 c
- paprika - 1 item
- dash of bottled hot pepper sauce - 1 item
- margarine or butter optional - 1 item
- shucked oysters - 1 pt
How to make oyster stew:
In a medium saucepan, combine the undrained oysters and salt. Cook over medium heat about 5 minutes or until oysters curl around the edges. Stir in milk, cream and hot pepper sauce. Heat through. Season to taste. Sprinkle each serving with paprika; if desired, top with a pat of margarine or butter. Makes 4 main-dish servings.Recipe categories: Main dish, Shellfish, Stew.
