  • chicken broth - 1 item
  • Parmesan cheese to taste - 1 item
  • oyster crackers - 2 or
  • original Ranch salad dressing mix - 2 pkg
  • savoy cabbage - 1 item
  • each: garlic powder, dill weed and lemon pepper - 1 tsp
  • to 2 day-old French rolls - 1 item
  • butter, minced garlic and chopped rosemary topping - 1 item

How to make oyster cracker snacks:

Core cabbage; blanch and drain. While cabbage cools, slice French rolls into thin slices. Arrange a layer of bread and a layer of cabbage leaves, topped with salt, pepper and cheese, in a lightly greased, deep baking dish. Continue to layer, ending layers with one of cabbage. Pour chicken broth into dish until just touches top cabbage layer. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Mix together butter, garlic and rosemary. Brush remaining bread slices with butter mixture. Place on top of casserole and bake in a slow oven at 325° for 1 hour.
