Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 4 lb
- salt - 2 Tbsp
- cold water - 1 gal
- celery seed - 1 Tbsp
- lime - 1 c
- cucumbers, sliced not real large ones - 1 gal
- Let set for 24 hours
- stalk stick cinnamon - 1 item
How to make lime pickles:
Mix and pour over cucumbers. Let set for 24 hours. Use a crock or glass container. Wash well. Let set in cold water for 3 hours.Solution for Pickles:2 qt. vinegar4 lb. sugar2 Tbsp. salt1 Tbsp. celery seed1 stalk stick cinnamon Mix well. Pour solution over cucumbers. Let this set overnight. Next day, boil hard for 30 minutes. Put in clean, prepared glass jars and seal.This is Mother's pickle recipe. It is a sweet-tart pickle.
