How to make oven barbecued ribs:

Place ribs in shallow roasting pan, meaty side up. (Trim as much fat off as possible). Place a slice of unpeeled lemon and thin slice of onion on each serving piece. Roast in oven at 400° for 30 minutes (longer if using country-style ribs). Pour off any fat.Sauce:1 c. ketchup1/3 c. Worcestershire sauce1 tsp. chili powder1 tsp. salt2 dashes Tabasco2 c. water Combine all sauce ingredients. Bring to a boil and pour over ribs that have been browned. Let roast in 350° oven until tender, basting every 15 minutes. If sauce thickens too much, add a little water. If ribs brown too much, cover loosely with foil or lid.

The lemon does something special to pork. Helps cut grease. This comes from an old Better Homes and Garden recipe.
