Barbecue brisket
Ingredients/Components
- brisket - 3 lb
- catsup - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 2 c
- Worcestershire sauce - 1/3 c
- dashes Tabasco - 2 item
- liquid smoke - 1 tsp
- small chopped onion - 1 item
How to make barbecue brisket:
In large Dutch oven cook brisket, uncovered, in 350° oven for 2 hours. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over meat and cover. Reduce oven temperature to 300° and cook until tender. Remove meat from sauce. Refrigerate both overnight or at least several hours. Slice meat paper thin. Lay slices in a flat pan. Cover with sauce.
