Orange pork chops
Ingredients/Components
- packed brown sugar - 1/4 c
- butter or margarine - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- ground cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- catsup - 1/4 c
- prepared mustard - 1 tsp
- whole cloves - 3 item
- mandarin oranges - 11 oz
- pork chops, 1-inch thick - 6 item
How to make orange pork chops:
Brown chops in butter over medium heat in a large skillet. Drain oranges, reserving syrup and set fruit aside. In a small bowl, combine syrup with brown sugar, catsup, vinegar, salt, mustard, cinnamon and cloves and pour over chops. Cover and simmer over low heat for 45 minutes or until pork is tender. Add orange segments during the last 5 minutes of cooking. Remove cloves before serving. Makes 6 servings.Recipe categories: Main dish, Meat, Pork.
