Ingredients/Components

  • brown sugar
  • molasses
  • white sugar
  • dry mustard
  • catsup
  • ground beef
  • small onion, chopped - 1 item
  • can kidney beans, drained - 1 oz
  • can butter beans, drained - 1 oz
  • ground round, crumbled - 1 oz

How to make old settler baked beans:

Brown meat and onions; drain excess fat. Fry bacon; drain fat and break into pieces. Add sugars, catsup, molasses and dry mustard and stir together. Add beans. Stir before pouring in a 2 1/2 or 3-quart casserole. Bake 1 hour at 350°.
