Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- oregano - 1/8 tsp
- Mrs - 1/4 tsp
- can whole kernel corn - 1 oz
- can whole tomatoes undrained - 1 oz
- fresh sliced okra
How to make okra creole:
Coarsely chop tomatoes. Combine all ingredients in heavy skillet. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes, or until okra is tender.For Diabetics: Yields 11 servings. Each serving is 1/3 cup. Each serving may be exchanged for 1/2 bread.
