Okra creole
Ingredients/Components
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- sliced okra - 2 c
- stewed tomatoes - 2 c
- cut corn - 1 c
- bacon fat or oil - 3 Tbsp
How to make okra creole:
Saute onion and green pepper in bacon fat until soft. Add okra for 5 minutes. Add tomatoes and corn. Simmer for 15 minutes or until okra and corn are done. Season with salt and pepper to taste.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Main dish.
