Ingredients/Components
- oats - 1 c
- boiling water
- eggs - 2 item
- brown sugar - 1 c
- white sugar - 1 c
- stick butter - 1 item
- cinnamon more if you like - 1 tsp
- flour
- cream or milk
- butter - 3 Tbsp
- can coconut - 1 item
- chopped pecans - 1 c
How to make oatmeal cake:
Frosting:1/4 c. cream or milk3 Tbsp. butter1/2 c. brown sugar1 can coconut1 c. chopped pecans Place oats in boiling water; set aside. Mix together all other ingredients, then add oats. Mix well. Pour into a 9 x 13-inch greased pan. Bake at 400° for 25 minutes.Frosting: Mix the cream, butter and brown sugar in saucepan; cook on low heat until butter and sugar melt. Add nuts and coconut. Pour on hot cake.
